We had a great group of announcement helpers to push us into the weekend!

Congratulations to our IXL Leaders of the week!

It's Wellness Wednesday! Now that STAAR testing is done, let's talk about how to end the school year strong:

Good afternoon Families,
Please take a moment to view this week’s newsletter on ClassDojo. This is a reminder that our 3rd–5th grade students will take their Math STAAR on Tuesday, and our campus will be closed to visitors that day.
Thank you for your continued support.

Thank you to our Special Programs Department and all of the wonderful high school helpers who made today memorable for our students!!

Mrs. Curry's class had a great time during their field day events! 💜 💛

We had a great mix of 4th and 5th grade students kicking off our Friday by helping with the announcements!

Calling all performers! Our annual Student Showcase (formerly Talent Show) is coming up! Auditions will happen in Music classes May 5th-7th, and we will have two performances during the school day on May 12th. Information on how families can attend the show will be sent out closer to performance day.
If you have any questions please reach out to Mr. G at tgerton@eisd.org.

We have some very exciting news! One of our 5th grade students, Karlee T., has been accepted and will be attending the Junior National Young Leaders Conference in Washington D.C. this summer! She'll get to spend 6 days learning about leadership, listening to guest speakers, finding ways to be active and influential in our community, sightseeing, meeting people from all across the country, and participating in a day-long 'My Day In Office' presidential simulation.
Congratulations Karlee!

Congratulations to our IXL leaderboard winners for the most time spent in the program.

The smiles say it all!

More fun at the Botanical Gardens.

It's Wellness Wednesday! Let's talk about responsible decision-making:

Yesterday was a great day at E. Ray! A very special thank you to Circle K Construction for sponsoring lunch for our amazing staff. Our 1st and 2nd grade students also had the opportunity to visit the Botanical Gardens and enjoyed the experience.

In preparation for our STAAR test, we hosted a pep rally for our 3rd–5th graders! Our 1st and 2nd grade students cheered them on as they entered the cafeteria, creating an exciting and supportive atmosphere. We reviewed test-taking strategies and shared ways to help our students feel confident and at ease. Our step team, under the direction of Mr. Shelton, performed a powerful routine highlighting our Bulldog Mindset, and Mr. Shelton and Mr. Gerton even performed an original song to get everyone in the spirit!
I am so proud of our students, and I know they will be successful tomorrow. Please take a moment to review the attached flyer for a few helpful tips for testing day.
Reminder: 3rd–5th grade students will not need to bring their backpacks tomorrow.

Please join me in celebrating Mrs. Snell for National Assistant Principal Week. Thank you Mrs. Snell for all that you do.

Our 4th graders had a blast participating in an Easter egg hunt in the library! They earned this because they had the highest attendance at our Spring Showcase last week.

Hip, Hip, Horray! Mrs. Leija's class celebrated filling up their class jar with ice cream sundaes. As a class they would get chips in the jar for good behavior in the classroom, hallway, or for compliments from other staff in the building. Way to go!!
