This year's Black History Program is titled 'Voices of Hope', and tells the story of how unity, hope, and music has led us through so many challenging times in history. We look forward to seeing you there! Thursday, February 26th, 5:00pm, E. Ray Cafeteria.

5th grade families!

If your student chose Band as one of their 6th grade electives, please put March 9th on your calendar as Instrument Tryout Night! Students will meet with the junior high Band Directors in the E. Ray cafeteria and get sorted into their instrument family. Please note, the event will not take the entire hour and a half per student, this is just an open window. Each student's tryout time is approximately 15-20 minutes, and is normally a first-come-first-serve event.

All students will need their own rides home. Another reminder will be sent closer to the event.

If you have any questions please reach out to Mr. G at tgerton@eisd.org. Thanks!

Noche de prueba de instrumentos
Good afternoon Families,

I cannot believe we are already in the final week of February! We have a full and exciting week ahead. Students will be participating in TELPAS testing, we will host our Black History Luncheon, enjoy our Black History Program, and celebrate the 120th day of school with our first graders.

Although the 120th Day celebration highlights our first grade students, we would love to see schoolwide participation as we celebrate the number 120 together!

Please take a moment to review our parent newsletter on ClassDojo.

Thank you for your continued support of E. Ray Elementary! 💜💛

Good morning, E. Ray Families,

Please login to Class Dojo to see this week's newsletter. We still have our Kids Heart Challenge, and there is still time to donate for a chance to slime Coach Holcomb and me! 💜💛 We also have 5th Grade Parent Night on Thursday and Spring Picture Day on Friday—we are looking forward to a great week!

This is also a reminder that tutoring takes place every Monday and Tuesday for students who have returned a signed permission slip.

Thank you for your continued support, families!
