Assistant Principal - Jennifer Terry

Welcome back, E. Bulldogs! My name is Jennifer Terry and I am excited to serve as the Assistant Principal of E. Ray Elementary for the 2024-2025 school year! I am thrilled to partner with you and collaboratively enhance the educational experience of our E. Ray Bulldogs! This school year will be full of empowerment, exploration, collaboration, thriving, and academic success for our scholars and we welcome you to join us on this journey!  

This academic term commemorates my 17th year in the field of education, in which 4 of those years have been in Everman ISD. During my tenure in Everman ISD, I served one year as an Instructional Coach at Bishop Elementary, two years as an Assistant Principal at Dan Powell Early Learning Academy, and this school year will be my first as an Assistant Principal at E. Ray Elementary. The roles I have held throughout my career include: Kindergarten Teacher for seven years, Third Grade Teacher for one year, Instructional Coach for six years, and an Assistant Principal for three years. 

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Texas Christian University in 2008 (Go, Frogs!) and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2015. I completed the Educational Leadership Program at Texas Christian University in 2021, while simultaneously obtaining my Principal as Instructional Leader certification for the state of Texas.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, watching and attending football and basketball games, hosting game nights, watching television, and being an entrepreneur. 

I feel the greatest reward in education is being blessed with the opportunity to impact lives on a daily basis. I am delighted to serve the E. Ray Elementary community with passion, dedication, cohesiveness, and a student centered focus. I look forward to meeting you all and having a PHENOMENAL school year!
